Why doesn’t having more times translate into doing more things? One would think that’s the immediate consequence, but it isn’t. We have the time we have and would always want to have more. But then you have less time, for some reason, and things just continue as always.

Perceived value. The less time you have, the more you do a better use of it. Of course this is completely false at the extremes, but there’s a range in which more time (or less) doesn’t change things significantly.
