Yesterday I was helping a friend get their flashcart working on their GBA modded with an IPS panel. In case anyone on the internet ends up in the same situation with low quality audio and glitched textures: you need to buy a proper flashcart. Ideally an Everdrive or EZ Flash Omega DE. Full stop. It’s kind of expensive, but that’s the only way for GBAs (specially with motherboard 02) to work. More info on the yellow sections in flashcarts.net’s GBA quick start guide.

We couldn’t figure out, though, why his Funnyplaying IPS V2 was ignoring the SELECT + L/R combination to change brightness. Wire solderings looked good. Faulty IPS board? Maybe.
